The pStyle is easy to use and lightweight. I highly recommend this amazing device.
I bought this device and another one to experiment with standing to pee ahead of going on a bike tour where I might need to go behind a tree on the side of the road. After trialling both I decided I liked the pStyle better, mainly because it was easier to get right.
The first time I tried, I just put it in my pants and peed standing up, no problems at all. The second and third times were fine too. Then the fourth time I sprung a leak.
This definitely isn't a 100% foolproof device, you do need to pay attention, especially if you have been drinking booze or are absolutely busting to go. But if you just mildly need to go and take an extra second or two to make sure your underwear is fully out of the way, then accidents are rare. I've been using it for two weeks now and only had two or three misses. That's pretty good, compared to the other device, where I was missing once every day or two.
The size is a little bit cumbersome, but if you're wearing a pair of pants or shorts with a decent zipper, you can totally get it in there without having to drop trou. Definitely worth the purchase.
Unlike other devices, the PStyle is quick to deploy with only minor clothing adjustments and can handle a larger volume of flow. It is hydrophobic and cleans 90%+ with only a fast shake and / or rinse.
This is a replacement for my first one. I don't hike without it.
I bought several different brands and hands down P-style is the best. I use it all the time hiking and on road trips. Don’t buy black, they are very hard to find/see inside the car or purse. I tank up now before I leave the house just so I can use it, no more dehydration tactics.
I love this STP device. I had a different device when I was a soldier in Afghanistan, but wish I had this one. The slim design allows you to easily place it between your legs without an awkward stance. The rigid plastic allows you to push down on the top near the front and feel where the back needs to seat in order to seal against leaks. When finished just pull it slowly forward against yourself to clear away any drops. I keep a small squirt bottle of water to give it a quick rinse. My job has me in the truck all day and with no businesses open during lockdown, I am forced to pull over and pee in the bush or the side of the road. This STP makes it so quick and easy, I almost look forward to having a full bladder. 😁
